Finished it off with a round of Mary

MOLESKINE:
-sooner’s pull up face is something we all should witness once in our life

Mosey back to finish with Mary but Esposa put us through multiple burpee circles and sooner impressed us with his ability to count very high very slowly on flutters. At least Pepsi and Choo Choo understood the assignment.

MOLESKINE:
Actual lyrics from a song we heard as we listened to Tyler Childers’s new album.

Koala bears get livid when they don’t get eucalyptus
Most of ’em carry syphilis
Or chlamydia what’s the difference
All I know is I don’t want no koala cuddlin’ up to me
I can see it fine from here it is a pretty cute koala

COT: I’m another year wiser today and anytime I need some Wisdom I pull out the Tao Te Ching. Here’s my favorite and most meaningful chapter:

Chapter 8
The highest good is like water
Water gives life to the ten thousand things and does not strive
It flows in places men reject and so is like the Tao
In dwelling, be close to the land
In meditation, go deep in the heart
In speech, be true
In ruling, be just
In business, be competent
In action, be aware of the time and season
No Fight
No Blame

AO: iiipillars
Q: princessaurora
PAX: LorelaiG, t-cell, Choo Choo, Haggis, Swiffer, Go Fish, Pep
FNGs: None
COUNT: 8
8 PAX were gathered here today to celebrate YHC’s 15th anniversary F3-style. Conditions were just as steamy as they were that hot July night in 2010, but the company left a little to be desired in comparison.

THE THANG:

After a brief disclaimer and a couple of laps around the track while I fumbled with the Bluetooth speaker, we circled up for:

SSH x 15

Shoulder Mobility
– Prone Alternating External Rotations
– Prone Presses

Hip Mobility
– 90-90 Alternating Internal Rotations
– 90-90 Pigeon
– 90-90 Heel/Knee Raises
– WMH x 10

Quick trip to the wall to hit a seated scapula stretch and then it was time for the show.

The traditional 15th anniversary gift is crystal, so I wanted to share that with all today.

PAX perform one set of 15 of each exercise below, followed by one lap around the track. After each lap, PAX drop one rep for the set (14, 13…1) and continue to do so until finished or time.

– Clerkin
– Reverse Crunch
– Y-Raise
– Squat
– Toe Touched
– Ab Thruster
– Lateral Lunge

Just as expectations are often unmet in marriage, so went our routine as most only got down in the 9-10 range.

Mosey back to startex for COT/BOM

MOLESKINE:

Today’s playlist was brought to you by my wife. Some fun facts about it: not only did I play it blind (my only direction for her was that it needs to be 45 minutes), but it was also her first playlist. I believe most would agree she nailed it. Consider yourselves lucky, gentlemen. I know I do.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

CSAUP 50-Miler 8/29. Hit up Chunks with any questions.

COT:

We took this time for everybody to share some piece of wisdom applicable either specific to marriage or to life in general, and wise words were shared indeed. Thank you for that.

Prayers for navigating health issues, familial strife, and relationships.

Always a pleasure to lead and be led at iiiP!

PA out.

Several months ago, Natural Ice and I were asked to Co-Q a Battle of Playlists Epic Q at Titan. Yet, the two of us are not fighters; hence, we pooled our powers to craft the GREATEST PLAYLIST OF ALL TIME (or GPOAT)! The theme was unstated, leaving the PAX to wonder what was this madness. Kudos to Pep who called the theme by song #3: A Weird Al tribute with the regular songs during Half Vector and the Al parodies for Half Ice.

CONDITIONS: Humid yet perfect

WARMUP: Mosey to front of Parthenon (aka Where the Giant Head Lives), only to find an equally weird potty training set up care of Cocomelon. SSH, LBAC, Overhead Raises, Seal Claps, RLBAC, and Imperial Walkers to start the show.

Prayers for work, safe travels, visas. Much praise of the playlist was overheard among the PAX. Words like “brilliant,” “fantabulous,” and “masterpiece” were bandied about. Ultimately all agreed: A ++++ with one more + to grow on.
