Temps were perfect in the high 50’s as 11 PAX made their way out to the Racetrack for some fun.

Thang: Begin in the lot, run to  Maryland Way and head up the hill. Stop at top of the stairs for exercise. Run down the stairs for second set of same exercise. Run through the garage back to parking lot for third set of same exercise. SSH for the six.

Exercises:

R1: Burpees x 15 @ each stop

R2: Merkins x 20 @ each stop

R3: WWI x 25 @ each stop

All in and take a long mosey around the back of the Hill Center to back around the front of Chopt. Find some bar and perform Rows x 15, 3 sets.

Long mosey back to the starting point. This is where YHC had to prevac, and Boone’s Farm took over for Mary and COT. Thanks for the help Boone’s!

Back to our mosey to the front of the park and continue on past the tennis courts for another set of exercises:

Cut through to the main parking lot for partner wheel barrow carries

Every five parking spots, P1 performs 5 merkins while P2 holds legs for wheel barrow. After 5 total spots, both partners sprint across the lot, and then mosey back to starting point. Flap Jack – R&R

Start the mosey again back to our original route towards the baseball fields for another set of exercises:

Conditions were favorable, a little warmer but no rain, for 7 PAX as they started the week off by making the correct decision and heading to Purple Cow

The Thang:

Head to the corner of the main parking lot of GWP for some four corners. Mode of transportation from one corner to the next is running. From our starting point, we run to the first corner where we perform exercise #1. From there we go to 2nd corner, where we perform exercise #1 and #2. Each corner we build, until we are back at the starting point. Exercises are:

Round 1:

Burpees x 10

Burpees x 10, Merkins x 20

Burpees x 10, Merkins x 20, Lunges x 30

Burpees x 10, Merkins x 20, Lunges x 30, Squats x 40

SSH for the six, and then all end in cadence with 10 SSH.

Prayers for Offshore’s wife’s cousins who lost their mother suddenly over the weekend. Pray for them, be intentional with them, and reach out for help if you’re in the midst of struggles.

Racetrack 2-6-19

10 PAX came out to Racetrack for much warmer conditions than normal for early February with a little drizzle mixed in. Perfect for getting work done

PAX: Numbtucks, Too Tall, Toga, Old Hickory, Funyuns, Backlash, Offshore, Penny Loafers, Razorback, Black Widow (QIC)

Disclaimer and then head up Maryland Way to the top level of the parking garage.

The Thang:

On the top deck of the parking garage, line up along one side facing the long direction.

Sprint to other side & perform 10 Merkins

All in and count off 1’s and 2’s for teams that we will need later.

Head down the stairs and stop at the 2nd floor. Head to the ramp for some 7’s.

At the bottom, perform gorilla humpers.

Backwards mosey to top

Burpees at top

Forward mosey back down

All in, and mosey to bottom floor. Divide up into our two teams.

Each team of 5 head to opposite stairs, head up and over the top deck and back down to finish line. Teams must perform IR and stay together. This is a race.

Team 1 is the winner and only gets 5 Burpees. Team 2 has 10.

All in, and head to wall outside of Holler and Dash for some DID’s.

Head down to the park for another IR race with your team. At the track, teams head out in opposite direction for a race around the track while performing IR. Team 2 is the winner this time, and gets to pick between rows or pull ups first.

The Thang:

Count off and partner up. P1 performs AMRAP of exercise while P2 runs the loop. Flap Jack. Once both partners have completed a lap, move on to next exercise. Four rounds so all exercises are completed. SSH for the six.

Exercises: Pull Ups; Rows; Merkins; & Burpees

All in, and we head back to Maryland Way and up the hill. Quick stop in the parking lot for 10 Burpees. Everyone is finished so we keep running up Maryland Way to the top of the hill, and then right on Franklin Rd and back into the Hill Center.

Stop in front of Holler & Dash for DID’s – 20 Dips, 15 Incline Merkins, 10 Decline Merkins x 2

Short mosey through the hill center and stop in the parking lot somewhere in front of Puffy Muffin. Line up for 7’s. Jump Squats at the bottom,  backwards run up the hill, lieutenant dans at the top, forward run to the bottom. 

All in so we mosey over to the parking lot next to the parking garage for some running. Sprint across the parking lot and then do 10 merkins x 5.

Time is getting close so we head back to the original parking lot for some quick mary.

No idea what the temp was, but it was nice for a summer morning in July. I showed up to the Racetrack, and to my surprise, the parking lot was already full of 17 PAX ready to get to work. 5:29am with a quick disclaimer, and then we’re off.

Mosey around the back loop at the racetrack, and then circle up in the grass for some WOR.

THANG

Head over the little hill towards the back of the racetrack. Line up for some 7’s. Starting with Burpees at the bottom, bear crawl up the hill, and then Turkish Get Ups at the top. SSH while we wait on the six.

All in, and we line up in a single file line to IR up Maryland Way to the parking lot next to the parking garage. It was on this run that we passed who would soon be known as “Cuervo” while he was out for a morning jog. After some flying EH’s, and him seeing a fellow Willy Loman coworker with us, he decided to file in. Line up on one side of the parking lot for another set of 7’s. Jump squats on one end of the lot, sprint to the other, hand release merkins, and then sprint back across the lot. Plank and wait for the six.

All in, and we head to the stair case for a little more cardio. Run up the stairs to the top of the parking deck. Once all in, 10 burpees. Run to the other side of the parking deck, and 10 more burpees. Back down the stairs, and stop next to Holler and Dash.

Decided to pull out an old favorite and introduce some of the newer PAX to BLIMPS on the soccer field. Lined up on one side of the soccer field where each PAX would perform the exercise below, and then run the short length of the field and back before moving to the next exercise.

SSH while we wait for the 6. All in, and head to the basketball court. Partner up for Partner Wheelbarrow work.

P1 – In wheelbarrow position with P2 holding feet, start at the baseline of the court and begin moving forward. At first FT Line, perform 5 merkins, Mid Court 5 merkins, next FT Line 5 merkins, and final Baseline 5 merkins. Flap Jack for return. All in, Rinse & Repeat.

Head over to the playground for 3 rounds of the following. Plank and wait between rounds so all can begin together.

10 Pax showed up this morning to high 50’s temps and plenty of fun in store. I’m not one to be creative enough for themed workouts, but since today is YHC’s 39th b’day, I thought we would work with the numbers 3 and 9. Everyone is ready, off to the parking lot at the Hill Center.

Head inside the parking garage and running up the ramps. 3 stops along the way for 3 different exercises x 9 reps each (merkins, DEEP squats, lunges).

We reach the last ramp leading to the top of the parking deck, and instructions were given that we would be enjoying 9’s today. WW1’s at the bottom of the ramp, back peddle up the ramp to the top, Burpees at the top, forward run back to the bottom of the ramp.

All in and we head over to the flat area of the top of the parking deck and line up against the wall. Next is 3 sets of sprints across the deck with 9 hand release merkins between each sprint.

Head down the stairs of the parking garage to the sidewalk next to Holler & Dash for some DID’s. Dips x 20, Irkins x 10, & Derkins x 9. 3 sets of these.

Mosey back towards the racetrack for a quick stop at the monkey bars. 9 pull ups followed by 9 rows x 3 sets.

One last mosey back to the parking lot for some Mary. WW1’s x 39, LBC’s x 39, & Plank Progression for last 1:30.
