The 100!

January 4, 2020 Related image

Sooooo, the new year is here and it’s time for those resolutions to start out strong and fade fast –but not for these PAX who decided to stick to that faithful alarm clock and roll outta the fart sack for another opportunity to make themselves stronger.  Most people know that those resolutions often tank within the first 100 days after New Years.  In honor of sticking it to those nay-sayers, everything today is going to be based on the number 100.  Simple plan, and staying in a single location for the most part, so mumble chatter could be in full effect — too bad 3rd Degree wasn’t there- sorry you had to nurse that Dusty (that’s an official .

Conditions: Just right for playing in a pig pen –sloppy but a great temp, 40 deg.   GLOOM HEAVY from the recent rain!

PAX who made it:  Mursa (property only), Creeper, TV Guide, Stats, Typo +, Huggy, SexEd, Nimbus 153454663, Barney Feivel, The Infamous Aunt Bea (on scooter as usual), Old Hickory, Glen Gary, Sterno, Numbtucks (HE’s BAAAACK), Deliverance, Pocahontas, Little Miss Piggy (co-Q), New Juice (Celeste Ware-FNG),  AND …  SPRINKLES returned !!! Pick up coupon blocks from Barney’s truck and MOSEY – John Cusaks with the coupon headed to the playground …Speed bump x10 blockees… drop off coupons

THANG:                    THE 100
Soccer Field:
All together 100 yd Bear Crawl,  100 yd Duck walk back

Coupon Kettlebell Swings and WWI
Flutter Kicks (each side is half– paired exercise–all together)

Soccer Field:
100 yd total of crab walk and lunge walking

Playground:
Coupon Shoulder Raises in front   and  Monkey Humpers

Not too sure if there was as much mumble chatter as there was midwife noises (another official lexicon for ya) as the heat got turned up with this workout.

Mosey back to the vehicles and deposit coupons

CoT:  numbers/names/prayer/announcements to close
Prayers:
SoccerMom — always 🙂
LMP’s wife — praise for not doing chemo right now and having an option for targeted drug therapy,  prayer for wisdom still and effectiveness of treatment, and prayer for the side effects to resolve quickly
Deliverance’s wife — upcoming surgery
Pocahontas — Good reminder that we need to give thanks as well for the many good things
Pray for leaders of our country and other countries as well for wisdom and peace  –lots of troubles out there.

A Smyrna Crew Christmas Q! Dirty Santa 2

December 21, 2019

It time to start making some traditions now that Nolensville F3 has been around for over a year and made its mark on the region! So the Smyrna Crew (plus honorary member Ragdoll) picked up its high calling again, and led an amazing group of HIM in a Christmas Party to remember.   Dirty Santa made his rounds again this year!  LET’S PLAY!

Conditions: Just that right temp to make you think you need more layers than you really do, about 35 deg and more importantly NO wind and NOT WET.

PAX who made it:  Cheezwhiz (co-Q), Ragdoll (co-Q), KermiT (co-Q), Tebow, Creeper, TV Guide, Stats, Typo +, Huggy, SexEd, Nimbus 153454663, Barney Feivel, Staples, and Little Miss Piggy (co-Q)

PreParty: YHC too busy helping Santa decorate and set up but I did see that they started at 5:15 with some Ruck Running (maybe to Defiant and back?)

Warm up:   Disclaimer,  random number generator (me pointing to four different PAX) gave us numbers 3,5,12,15
Circle up: IC baby arm circles x12 each, Good Mornings OYO, Toy soldiers OYO x12 each leg, Cherry Pickers IC x12
Last warm up part — run 100 yds to light pole x10 burpees and return –PAX numbered off in order of their return –number 3,5,12, 15 would be the PAX who get to open presents !

MOSEY – To the soccer field we go…As we approached the upper parking lot some PAX writhed in merriment at the sight of a sparkling tree (mainly me…the excitement level within the group was straight Grinch like, as if the Grinch has stolen not only their gifts but there marbles as well).  Looks like Santa stepped it up a notch this year by adding some tinsel and decorations to the tree!  And shimmering below, were some presents all aglow.

Huggy got first crack at opening a gift, only to reveal —Thang 1 was inside:

“Taboo Tannenbaum” (courtesy of Ragdoll)

Partner up on the soccer field at the first light post.  PAX 1 drags PAX 2 supporting under the arms via politician style.  At halfway point, stop and everyone does 50 reps of squats (touch the ground each time).  Switch and finish out the length of the field. At end everyone does 50 Iron Mikes (each side is one thank the Lord!).  Repeat going back to the start but with jump squats in the middle.   Legs…Toast.   Back to the giving tree.

TV guide selected a second box to unwrap, finding Thang 2 inside:

“Tabat – YEAH!”  (courtesy of CheezWhiz)

You know it, and you love it!  But this time to some crazy Christmas tunes – 2 rounds (Mosey over to playground )
Round 1 – Pull ups/under dogs
Round 2 – V ups
Mosey back to the giving tree.

SexEd got his choice of the remaining 2 presents.  Inside, to no one’s  surprise, was Thang 3:

“The Twelve Days of Christmas!” (courtesy of YHC)

We had such a great time seeing what our true love gave to us last year, that I invited her along again this year.  And again, she must have been in a bad mood after not being able to find a parking spot at the mall for 30 minutes only to be cut off by someone taking the one she finally found and waited on patiently while the prior occupant stowed their packages in the trunk and then casually talked on the phone while fixing her hair before finally putting it in reverse and backing out.  Seriously, don’t expect much good from your girl at Christmas time if she isn’t in the mood.   Sooo, these gifts were the best she could come up with. We did the exercises just like you would have sang the song – yep with all the repeats.

1. 40 yd dash! , 2. knee tucks, 3. Yurpees (audible to Burpees after 3 rounds), 4. Iron Mikes, 5. Peter Parkers, 6. Flutter Kicks, 7. Hello Dollies, 8. American Hammers, 9. Alabama Prom Dates, 10. Merkins, 11. Lunges, 12. Squat Jumps

Creeper got the pleasure of opening the last present and found Thang 4:

“Reindeer Wrastlin’ ”   (courtesy of KermiT)

There is no greater way for Reindeer to keep themselves in shape than to do a little wrastlin! And we all know they can get a little complacent after a year of leisure building up to the one day that they have to work so hard to accomplish the impossible task on Christmas Eve.  So Partner up and get ya a little Reindeer Crawl Suicides!  10, 20, 30, and 40 yd markers. Partner resist one way and then switch for the way back.  Let’s get it going cause you only have 5 minutes!

Mosey back to the vehicles

Gauntlet Schmauntlet

October 27, 2019 — The Forge , Nolensville, TN

Gauntlet Schmauntlet.

Gautlet is on the horizon and dang I’ve noticed my endurance dropping since getting busy with other things and letting my guard down –missing some workouts and a whole lotta running. Soooo, let remedy some of that and get ready for Gauntlet at the same time.

PAX in attendance:  3rd deg, (Q) Little Miss Piggy, Huggie, Typo +, Stats, Glen Gary, Sparta, Numbtucks, Tebow, Staples, Kermit  (11 PAX)

Conditions — started off with a few drops of rain but quit…a teeny bit wet but great temps

Pre-Party:   Numbtucks, Third Deg, and Staples met at 5:15 for some rucking good, yet admittedly less planned, times

Warm-up/Disclaimer:   Circle up —  stretch something you want OYO, Toy Soldiers OYO,  Michael Phelps OYO, BAC IC each way

Gauntlet requires some endurance, and longer distances running than some of the group may be accustomed to, so we’ll start this off right…

Thang 1:                 2 mile run

Kermit wanted to swing by the front of the school entrance where they were prepping for the Nolensville 10 miler, cause he wanted to creep on some man that he likes up there, but lucky for that guy he wasn’t there when we went by.  Mumble chatter started off nicely, though, on the run, as we headed back to the football field where the second mile was completed on the track. This allowed us to incorporate an interval-esque type training, where PAX where intstructed to push their speed on the straights and then recover a little slower on the curves. The first PAX finished were to go back to those who were trailing and help get them to the finish line.

Mini-Thang 2:                Tractor Tires

3 tires, 3 groups — flip them from goal line to the 50 yd line, taking turns but quickly

Thang 3:               Four Corners

Four groups go to four corners of the football field.  Each group selected an exercise for that corner location– we had burpees, WWI, starfish, and iron mikes.  Do 20 reps and then mosey to the next corner. However, the MOT is via bleachers on both of the sides of the field (run up and down at each aisle), and to get from one side of the field to the other, PAX did bear crawl and crawl bear on the first lap, then crab walk and bounding for the second lap.
2 laps around

Mini-Thang 4:            Tractor Tires

We gotta put em back where we found em.  3 groups again and flip them all the way back

Mosey:  back to the center of the field and circle up!

CoT/Numbers/Names !
Prayer:
–
Kermit – praise he sold the Blue Monster and he’s in his new home; pray for adjusting and moving into the home
– Soccer Mom still needs prayer coverage and support
-Keep praying for Typo +’s acquaintance whose child just diagnosed with leukemia (ALL)
-Numbtucks is working with a couple getting a divorce and needs prayer support for it and for the couple
– Praise by 3rd Deg for intuition on a case with a young child that could have been fatal
– LMPs wife did have an ultrasound and found a swollen lymph node at the collarbone area on same side as her prior breast cancer so will be having it biopsied next week — pray for peace and that it is not a reoccurrence

Announcements:

-NEW NANTAN coming soon!  Big thanks to 3rd Deg for all of his amazing leadership since starting all these shenanigans in Nolensville !

– Don’t forget about the Fit Test challenge on 11-23-19

Preparing for Beast Feast and Football Watching

No great into here. Nor any amazing, insightful, and thought provoking theme to today’s workout.  Just trying to get a good ole beat down to make the couch potato, football watching activities and the Beast Feast acceptable.  🙂  However, we can all be excited about the football season starting because now the field is usual left open for us!!!!

Second half exercises:  Merkins and Monkey Humpers  = 100 reps each !

Groundwork!

August 5, 2019 — Defiant , Nolensville, TN

Laying the Groundwork

Any great structure begins with a solid foundation, right?! So today we are going to get back to laying some groundwork for this Iron Clad Challenge and anyone else’s goals over the coming months.  Control and stability through the core is the focus today with each of the exercises, so good form was emphasized as it should be.

PAX in attendance:  Creeper !!!!! (he’s baaa-aaaack), 3rd deg,  Barney Fievel, Swinger, Ragdoll, Playboy, (Q) Little Miss Piggy, Show Me, Professor X, Old Hickory, Huggie, Sex Ed, Typo +  (13 PAX)

Conditions — pretty good –a little muggy but nice enough

Pre-Party:  Bearway to Heaven !  Swinger, Ragdoll, 3rd Deg, Old Hickory, Barney, and Creeper all joined in.

Warm-up/Disclaimer:   Circle up —  Good Mornings OYO, Cherry Pickers IC,  Don Keyotes IC, BAC IC, BigBAC IC

Pick up the Coupons from LMP’s truck.  1 per PAX.

Mosey:  This is not just a mosey but also a shoulder stability exercise…Single arm carry coupon overhead.  Elbows straight, no leaning back, keep core tight and the fully engaged shoulder press to the sky.  Switch arms half way to the playground.

Thang 1:                  THE  PULL UP TEST

So this week we had a little discussion on slack about raising our game with pull ups . Its a great exercise to build strength through multiple muscle groups and incorporates stability/control along with strength and power.  One suggestion was the 50pullups.com site which is similar to several other plans to increase your rep count — basically follow the principles of using a percentage of your max and doing several sets with plenty of rest between sets. So today we lay the groundwork by testing to see our max.  And we use this max to establish our reps for the rest of the workout.  If anything, at least the PAX will see where they are, and if they want to improve over time, they have a benchmark to start from.   Do the test in partners so that each PAX has “maximal verbal encouragement” (insert coach Numbtucks voice) to do their best.    Now that we have our max, we will do 5 more sets spaced out through the rest of the workout — begin at about 70-80% max for a couple, then 60-70% a couple, and then last set back to 70-80% if able (this is where again max verbal encouragement is appreciated !)

Thang 2:                  Hip and Core Stability

11’s with Single Leg Squat (each leg) and Burpee’s (PAX can choose any variety they desire) :   10 of exercise one , with 1 of exercise two…cascade down one rep of exercise one , and up one rep of the second) .   With the pull ups mixed in, we got down to about 4 reps of single leg squats before time forced us to move on…but first 15 penalty burpees.

Thang 3:                  Shoulder Blast

Partner up with 2 coupons per pair.
Together 50 reps of lateral raises, front raises, overhead presses
PAX 1 does exercise while PAX 2 runs lap to stop sign in back parking lot.
No swinging the coupons–again focus on core stability and trunk control.
Pull up sets mixed in.

Last set of pull ups completed, then…

Mosey:  Single arm overhead carry the coupon back to start area–switch in middle.   Deposit coupon in truck and circle up.   Hard work completed !

CoT/Numbers/Names  — Boom…13 for Defiant!
Prayer:
–
Praise LMP’s preliminary biopsy results not showing signs of any bad stuff; keep praying all is alright and corrects itself –results will be Aug 15
– Soccer Mom still needs prayer coverage and support
– School starts this week for many: pray for kids as well as the teachers!
-Typo + noted an acquaintance whose child just diagnosed with leukemia (ALL)… good word given to always be thankful for our children and their health. and give em a hug.  frequently!

Announcements:

-Using new Nolensville sign up sheet for Q / Coffeeteria sign ups
-Iron Clad in full effect:  getcha sum

Post-party:  most joined in for a Max Hold Al Gore.

Coffeeteria–don’t forget this is needed for Iron Clad, and so I can get to know ya better.   🙂  Had a great time getting to know the “FNG” Creeper.  🙂

—Little Miss Piggy (wooo pig sooie!) OUT

Smyrna Smackdown

Smyrna Crew bringing the fireworks…

The Fourth of July was another great opportunity for the PAX to recognize how blessed they are to be living in the United States of America.  And despite many of us having to rudely interrupt that celebration by having to return to work yesterday, at least we quickly moved into the weekend so as not to interrupt our festivities too much. The Smyrna Crew brought some more fireworks to The Forge, to light the PAX up.

PAX in attendance:  ManScape (FNG), Oh Ship, Double Bird, Nimbus 1500, 3rd deg,  Barney Fievel, Swinger, Topper, Pocahontas, TV Guide, Numbtucks, Ragdoll, Playboy, (CoQ) Cheezwhiz, Stats, (CoQ Mr. Opus, and (CoQ) Little Miss Piggy  (17 PAX)

Conditions — too hot and humid — oh where are those crisp November mornings?

Pre-Party: Numbtucks and Barney did a 1.2 mile run over to the AO.
3rd Deg, TVG, and Nimbus 1500 ran to BW AO, did 30 copenhagens, and then 3x6min per mile pace laps with 1.5 minute recovery b/w laps, then run back to forge. Stats saved them by picking them in car for the last .5 mile to get back in time!

Warm-up/Disclaimer/BattlePlan:   WMH OYO, LBAC IC forward and reverse x 10 each — that’s it, let’s get going — jog to the soccer field… OH WAIT , crap, turn around…

Pick up the Coupons from LMP’s truck.  1 per PAZ.

Mosey: Carry those coupons on a jog to the middle school soccer field.

Mr. Opus’ Thang:             12 Rep Countdown

PAX all in a line on soccer field.  Do 12 Merkins, lunge 20 yards then 12 Carolina Dry Docks.  Politician back.  Rinse and repeat decreasing by a rep all the way down.

Cheezwhiz’s Thang:            Tabata Twosomes

First set:   PAX did 20 sec underdogs or pull ups (ha, that’s a joke– everyone went to underdogs) – 10 sec rest – then 20 sec of jump squats – then rest x entire song
MOSEY TO THE LEDGES
Second set:  PAX did 20 sec Copenhagens- 10sec rest – then 20 sec of box jumps (START AT THE TOP!) – then 10sec rest  x entire song

This is where 3rd Deg really put in the extra effort — more or less in the jaws with his mumble chatter, but i guess he did enjoy some extra prom date thrusting at the top of his copenhagens   “EXPLODE!”

Mosey to the soccer field and find a battle buddy, and each PAX grab a coupon.

Little Miss Piggy’s Thang:                    243

Independence Day marks the anniversary of when the 13 colonies originally ratified the Declaration of Independence in 1776.   That makes our country now 243 years old– so let’s celebrate with 243 reps of hard work on our core.

50 reps (25 each partner) of Leg Throws, 50 reps (25 each partner) of Sky Kicks, 50 reps of American Hammers with coupon, 50 reps of Plank with partner hand slaps, and finally 43 reps of WWI with coupons.

Position for leg throws and Sky kicks:   PAX 1: lay on back and hold ankles of PAX 2 standing behind their head (NO…NOT OVER THEIR HEAD… I do not want to look up your shorts nor do we need anyone’s ball sweat dropping like Chinese water torture on our face).  Leg throws –PAX 1 raises straight legs up to PAX 2 who then throws the legs toward the ground.  Sky kicks: PAX 1 keeping leg straight up toward sky, lifts butt off ground.

Mosey:  Jog it back to start area with the coupon in hand.   Deposit coupon in truck and plank till the six arrives.   Great job everyone!

CoT/Numbers/Names  — 17 PAX, 1 FNG named today (he works for the city and is an arborist — thus, ManScape, of course !)
Prayer:
–
Praise LMP’s mother-in-law recovering so well from mastectomy
– Soccer Mom still needs prayer coverage
– Nimbus: daughter tasted positive for Lime’s disease and starting treatment, praise she is not feeling too bad, but prayer it works out well without any adverse effects

Announcements:

-Using new Nolensville sign up sheet for Q / Coffeeteria sign ups (3rd deg really likes the new color scheme and look of Numbtucks’ design on this spreadsheet – you guys should really check it out,  oh yeah, and sign up for stuff!)
-challenge: nobody Q more than 1 time this month! Get some people more active!

Post-party:  a few us had penalty burpees to do for the challenges that we were/are apart of…  and Cheezwhiz is trying to avoid his for each day that he missed during the running streak challenge.    Yep, called ya out.

Coffeeteria enjoyed too

—Little Miss Piggy, Cheezwhiz, Mr. Opus

Medals of Honor

MEDALS OF HONOR — Acknowledging our Heroes

Today, we started off the Memorial Day weekend with a tribute to all the great heroes serving this wonderful country.  YHC instructed PAX to find a battle partner who they will stay with throughout.

PAX in attendance: Nimbus 1500 (pre-vac after PP), 3rd deg,  Barney Fievel, Old Hick, Staples, Bear Gryllis, Swinger, Toad, Mursa, TV Guide, Mic Drop, Creeper, Wolverine, Farva (FNG), Hush puppy, Numbtucks, Ragdoll, Playboy, Cheezwhiz, Tebow, Altidore, Stats, Color Run (FNG), Chewy (FNG), and (Q) Little Miss Piggy — YES! that’s an all time high for Nolensville –25 PAX!

Conditions — wonderful

Pre-Party: Stats pulled a fast one on  preparty HIMs last week, but held himself accountable this week and showed up at 5:15 to lead it:  Multiple 50 yd sprints with 10 reps of exercises the PAX picked from the workout card deck.

Warm-up/Disclaimer/BattlePlan:

Pick up the big Coupons from Staples’ truck.  1 per pair. head to the road.

Mosey Thang: (put those together b/c QiC really intended this to be more than just moseying
PAX 1-John Cusak with coupon, PAX 2 – duck walk (stay together) x approx 100 yds.  ;   Speedbump for 25 monkey humpers — Now switch roles and carry on another 100 yds.  Took two rounds of this to make it to the soccer field.

Thang 2: The man, not-so-much a myth, but clearly a legend …

CHARLES BRONSON!

PAX  may remember from doing this workout in the fall, but what wasn’t revealed at that time is that Charles Bronson was a veteran.  Enlisted in 1943 for WWII and served as an air gunner (which is a dangerous position to be in)-served in Guam fightin them Japs and did 25 missions. So in his honor, we did:

25 reps each of Iron Mikes, Squat jumps, Side Lunges (each side), and Squats
In between each exercise, PAX sprinted 100 yds then dropped and army crawled 15 more yards, mosey back to the start.  Stay with partner.

Thang 3:   Soldier gotta build each other up, then be there help each other out as well when things get tough.

Resist and Assist

PAX are accustomed to the endurance factor of high rep counts and burning those slow twitch fibers, but time to build some fast twitch with anaerobic blast to failure:
PAX 1 – resist PAX 2 doing 10 merkins to point of failure on 10th rep, then keep going without rest x 10 more with PAX 2 assisting; then switch

Rinse and repeat with Derkins, and Irkins using the coupons.

Thang 4:   We have honored many of the fallen brothers in arms over the past couple weeks, who have given their lives for us and our country.  So today, YHC also wanted to honor those who took action is the same manner, being willing to almost certainly lose their life to save others , and yet miraculously lived.  While in San Antonio this week, YHC was at the Center For The Intrepid, where military personnel are rehabilitated from even the worst of trauma injury. A plaque of one the guys was on the wall, Corporal Kyle Carpenter. This soldier is the youngest ever to receive the Presidential Medal of Honor for actions he took while in Afghanistan.  While on a roof top security detail, Taliban decided to attack in mid-day. Story is that as grenades began falling onto the roof top, Cpl Carpenter went running from one to the next throwing them back off the roof until one finally went off as it left his hand.   He had massive trauma to his face and right arm, losing the eye and most of his hand, but saved several lives.   So in his honor, PAX performed:

Grenade Suicides

Markers placed each 10 yds for total of 50 yds.  (Markers were t-shirts: Barney and Old Hickory had already decided shirts were for sissies so we used theirs, but YHC could hardly solicit another from anyone–Wolverine finally obliged.)

PAX (staying with partner) performed 5 burpees (getting and tossing back the grenade) at the baseline, then ran to next marker for another 5 burpees.  Return to baseline and repeat but advancing then to the next farther marker in “suicide” exercise fashion.   Audible–QiC decreased to 3 burpees after 20 yd marker due to time.

YHC noted after the exercise another Medal of Honor recipient who recently passed away, he was the oldest Medal of Honor recipient that was still living…Robert Maxwell (98 years old).   He earned his medal in WWII when a grenade came into the bunker and he immediately grabbed a blanket and dove on top of the grenade.

Mosey:  Help each other carry the load — Partners work together trading off doing John Cusaks with the coupon as we make way back to the tennis court.

CoT/Numbers/Names  — 25 PAX, 3 new FNGs named today
Prayer:
–
Praise LMP’s wife had clear bone scan, mother-in-law’s mastectomy went great and recovery going well
– Soccer Mom still needs prayer coverage
-??  please comment on the slack post any other prayer needs to add to this list

YHC addressed the group about some things to think about.  Like these soldiers we honored today as well as all the others out there right now working to protect us, be willing to live in service to others and to sacrifice for others, even unto death. Spiritually we are called to die unto self every day, and to love God and love others — we are to be willing to give of ourselves.
Read Psalm 116 — many great things in it, but notice the theme of commitment and the “I will” statements.    and ” The death of His faithful ones is valuable in the Lord’s sight.” v 15.

Time to get ready for some gauntlet action next weekend. Nothing like some running and getting REAL close with your bros to get a man prepared!

A wonderful morning- no more gloom and a gentle breeze, 50 deg and warming

19 PAX. Fell one short of Numbtucks’ challenge but still a great showing.  Co-QiC Little Miss Piggy and Cheezwhiz, Mickey Mouse, Show Me, Numbtucks, Nimbus 1500230349587, Tebow, 3rd deg, Old Hickory, Stats, Staples, Hush Puppy, Mufasa, TV Guide, Typo +, Kermit, Mr. Opus, Creeper, Sterno

Preparty:  led by the one and only KERMIT!   a nice opening run to the Elementary school and back — about 2.5 miles

Disclaimer then warm up:  BAC-IC, toy soldiers, WillieMaysHays

The Gauntlet touts a challenging 8 mile course, and seeing that it is next weekend…we decided the group needed a little cardio booster today — let’s get some more running in.

RUN: x 1 mile –everyone seemed to still be feeling pretty good, even the prepartiers

Thang 1:  GUNS-N-ROWSES !!!
LMP still isn’t sure why CheezWhiz insisted that we not run into the nearby neighborhood to do this thang .  Weird.   But it did seem that the  people driving by were all staring at this bunch of manly-men rising to the challenge and engorging their…backs and biceps!
Attitude adjustment x 10 burpees.
Partner UP–PAX1 stands straddling PAX2 laying on ground.  PAX1 does a low row using PAX2 as weight, then PAX2 does a hanging bicep curl on PAX1’s arms. Apocalypse style counting down from 10 to 5, then switched positions and repeat.   Man the mumble chatter was classic Nolensville on this one.

Run: x .75 mile  end at playground

Run:  x.91 miles  through neighborhood and back to vehicles   = total of 2.66 miles  + preparty .   I think I heard a final total including PP to be 5.3 miles.  Great work.

Plank and wait for the six.

Romans 5:3, James 1:2-3 “pure joy when you face trials…perserverence”  Often we feel like every time we take 2 steps fwd, we take 1 back and keep getting knocked down — how do we continue on –lean on your brothers (and God and you faith).  We do a lot of partner work to remind us of this. Prov 17:17 “a friend loves at all times , and a brother is born for a time of adversity”   Psalm 133:1

Thanks for the chance to lead in a group of amazing men!

Now time for the comp!   Which old fart can hold em out the longest?  Kermit provided a $10 gift card for the winner!
Well age won over beauty this time baby!   Came down to two of the 40+ PAX, LMP and Creeper, but LMP could clearly see the spirit of Hulkamania burning in Creeper’s eyes and knew he could never hold out.  SO CREEPER TOOK THE PRIZE
